Cholera is an acute watery diarrheal disease caused primarily by Vibrio cholerae serogroup O1 and, less frequently, by V. cholerae O139. Cholera can cause severe diarrhea and death if left untreated.

The Vibrio Cholera O1 Rapid Test Cassette (Feces) is a qualitative lateral flow immunoassay for the detection of Vibrio Cholera O1 antigens in human feces or environmental water samples. In this test, the membrane is pre-coated with antibody against Vibrio Cholera O1 in the test line region of the test.

Use only for in vitro diagnosis

1. Protective gloves must be used for handling both the sample and the reagent.

2. Patient samples and the inactive positive control may contain infectious agents and should only be handled with disposable gloves, this should be handled as potentially biohazardous.

3. Do not use kit components after the expiration date.

4. Discard all used materials in the container.
