280,400 new doses of COVID vaccines are applied in Mexico; total reaches 37.8 million

At the national level, Health reported that 30 percent of the adult population over 18 years of age has already received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine.

Mexico City is the entity with the highest percentage of vaccination coverage, since 49 percent of the adult population has already received at least one dose.

Until now, the vaccines authorized in Mexico to inoculate the population are: Pfizer, AstraZeneca, SinoVac, “Sputnik V” and Cansino.

Vaccination against the coronavirus, the pathogen that causes the COVID-19 disease, began on December 24. Mexico was the first country in Latin America to begin applying the injection against this virus, and one of the first 10 in the world.

BCS, Tabasco, Yucatán and QR register higher incidence

In the last 24 hours, 239 more deaths from COVID-19 were recorded in the country, bringing the total to 230, reported the Ministry of Health. Confirmed cases total 424, 2 more than yesterday.
