Direct Steam (Boiler Steam) and/or Electric (Self-Generated Steam) Sterilizer

Description:

The Direct Steam (Boiler Steam) and/or Electric (Self-Generated Steam) Sterilizer is a fixed cabinet or wall-mounted equipment that uses water vapor (humid heat) under pressure at high temperature as a sterilizing agent. It is ideal for objects that resist high temperatures and humidity from pressurized steam, such as fabrics, surgical instruments, liquids and utensils. It is also effective in destroying microorganisms, including spores.

Design and construction:

• The internal chamber, external chamber, pressure generator and door are designed and manufactured in accordance with the ASME code, for boilers and pressure vessels, section VIII, division 1, for a pressure of 3.5 Kg/cm2 (50 Psi).

Chamber construction:

• The interior horizontal (rectangular) sterilizing chamber, rear bottom and surrounding frame are constructed of stainless steel plate: type 304, 304-L, 316 or 316-L (as required) in 6.3 mm (1/4”) thickness .
• The chamber has 1 to 4 ports for validation testing (as required), hot rolled and TIG welded.
• For 1 or 2 doors, with uneven drainage for condensate steam outlet and hermetic sealing system.
• The outer chamber (steam jacket or chassis, Jacket) is manufactured with a stainless steel plate in the quality required, whether 304, 304-L, 316 or 316-L; in 4 mm and/or 6.3 mm. (1/4”) thick.
• Frame and front panel in Type 304, 316-L Stainless Steel.
• Supplied with 1.25 Lbs Fiberglass thermal insulation. density and in 25.4 mm to 50.8 mm thickness, and an aluminum foil cover.
• With one or two validation ports.

Manual opening radial doors with security system:

• Manufactured with 12.7 mm (1/2”) thick Stainless Steel plate and in the quality required, 304, 304-L, 316 or 316-L.
• OPTIONAL: stainless steel cover.
• Closing by means of radial stainless steel bars activated by a handwheel.
• The door contains a silicone gasket that allows for an airtight seal and long life.
• It has an integrated safety system that prevents the door from opening during sterilization and is deactivated when the pressure is released.
• Left or right opening with left or right hinge.

Own steam generator (integrated steam), electric, motor pump and hydrosphere (optional):

• The generator (water tank) is integrated into the body of the camera and is made of Cal. 11 Sheet, 3.1 mm (1/8”) thick.
• Flange and cover (1/2” thick plate) are made of Stainless Steel and are supplied in the required quality: 304, 304-L, 316 or 316-L.
• Generator diameter: 25 cm. (10”).
• It has an automatic pressure regulator (thermostat) for automatic protection and automatic water filling to the steam generator even if there is pressure and automatic control of lack of water.

Optional:

• It can be supplied with a water softener filter integrated into the equipment and reverse osmosis system.
• 3 copper or stainless steel resistors of 3000, 4000, 5000 and 6000 Watts each, mounted on a stainless steel plate.
• Automatic pressure control (pressurector) and safety device that prevents overpressure (safety valve).
• Drain valve for easy cleaning and descaling of heating elements and tank.
• The resistors have a change system using screwable (threaded) bronze couplings (bushing) to facilitate their replacement.
