• The medical reciprocating air system is a tank-mounted design consisting of duplex oil-free piston compressors, dual air dryers with purge control, dual filtration system, dew point and CO monitors.
• Hardwired control panel, all mounted in a corrosion resistant air receiver.
• The tank-mounted package is fully integrated into the design and meets current NFPA 99 standards.
• The tank mounted package is provided with single point connections for electrical, air discharge and condensate drains. All systems are operationally tested before shipping.

Oilless Reciprocating Compressor Pump:

• The oil-free reciprocating air compressor pump has a completely oil-free design and does not require oil for operation.
• Composite piston technology, dual cooling fans and sealed bearings provide quality, low-maintenance, oil-free air.
• The pistons are made of heat-repellent composite resin with piston rings constructed of a PTFE material.
• Piston rings have a minimum useful life of 10,000 hours of operation.
• Each compressor will be equipped with the following components:
  • Isolation valve, check valve and safety valve.
  • ODP electric motor, drive pulley, belts and belt guard.
  • Air-cooled aftercooler with moisture separator.

Control Panel CONTROL PANELNFPA

• NEMA 12, UL508A listed and labeled with two control transformers with fused primary and secondary circuits.
• The panel has automatic toggle and standby “in use” alarm with visual and audible indicators.
• All alarms have dry contacts on a terminal strip labeled for remote alarms.
• The panel will provide power for the entire system, including all desiccant dryers, drains, monitors and alarms, with a single point electrical connection. Each compressor will be equipped with the following:
  • Disconnector.
  • Magnetic starter.
  • Illuminated HOA switch.
  • High temperature stop with visual and audible alarms.
  • Hour meter.

Air-cooled aftercoolers:

• Belt guard mounted aftercoolers are provided for each compressor and are sized for an approach temperature of 15ºF.
• The units are constructed of copper tubing with metal headers.

Air purification system:

• Dual refrigerant type air dryers.
• Dual pre filters.
• Dual pressure reducing valves with gauges and safety relief valves.
• Dew point dependent automatic switching to reduce purge frequency.

Monitoring equipment:

• CO monitor with audible/visual alarms and dry contacts for remote alarm signal.
• Dew point monitor with audible/visual alarms and dry contacts for remote alarm signal.

System connections:

• The system is supplied with a remote intake connection and flexible intake and discharge connectors.
