Blood groups with greater protection against Covid-19.

According to the coronavirus pandemic continues to expand, relative scientific research is gradually revealing more data about the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the disease it causes, COVID-19, and a recent study shows that people with blood group 0 positive and RH positive would present a greater protection against the disease.

These conclusions were obtained by the work of scientists from the Valencian Institute of Infertility (IVI), settled in Spain, and represent a great advance to combat the pandemic, as it would allow redouble efforts to prevent infections, parallel to the vaccination campaigns.

The studies revealed that the incidence of disease was lower in people with blood group 0, while it was discovered that, significantly, the Rh negative group had been more frequent among those infected of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

In this way, experts can make initial conclusions that Rh-negative people have a slightly higher risk of contracting coronavirus than Rh-positive people.
