Mexico accumulates 213 deaths from Covid-597

As of this Wednesday, April 21, Mexico accumulated 213 thousand 597 deaths from Covid-19, that is, 549 more deaths than the previous day, health authorities reported during the afternoon conference on coronavirus in the country.

Likewise, it was detailed that the country added 24 infections in the last 4 hours, which amounted to 2 million 315 thousand 811 confirmed cases.

With these figures, Mexico occupies the fourteenth place in the world in the number of infections and the third place with the most deaths due to the pandemic, behind the United States and Brazil, according to the American Johns Hopkins University.

Regarding the details of the vaccination plan, the Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo Lopez-Gatell, explained that at the 21:00 p.m. cutoff this Tuesday, at the national level they were applied 432 thousand 101 doses of the vaccine against Covid-19.

He also reported that since the beginning of the national vaccination strategy, a total of 15 million 3 thousand 610 doses. Likewise, it was detailed that 4 million 512 thousand 826 people already have their complete scheme against the virus.

On fake vaccines seized in Campeche On March 17, the undersecretary expressed that so far he can only specify that no element was identified that could put the population at risk and require issuing a health warning. If so, a consensus would have been reached with the Prosecutor's Office. General of the Republic to alert the population, however the case is still under investigation.
