Features:
- Realistic model of a human torso.
- Can be used in an upright or supine position
- Also has a recessed area posterior to the PICC insertion site for the optional peripheral port (peripheral port not included)
- The base of the recessed area is made of soft material that allows the port to float when accessed
- When placed over the port, the included tissue flap allows for a realistic sensation when palpating and accessing
External central catheter:
- Prepositioned, surgically placed in the right chest
- The subcutaneous tunnel is visible up to and just above the clavicle.
- Distinctive Dacron® cuff
- The distal end of the catheter is preconnected to the blood reservoir bag
Implanted vascular access device:
- Located in the left breast under a specially formulated flap designed to simulate real human tissue
- Located on a rigid underlying surface with molded ribs and a recessed area for interchangeable inserts
- 3 hard-to-reach inserts placed under or over the port to simulate palpation and access to a port with one of the following types of placements: normal, inclined, wandering, or deeply placed
Peripheral central catheter:
- Located on the right arm rotated, extended and detachable
- The 5FR dual-lumen PICC exits the slightly elevated basilic vein on the right medial biceps
- 20G IV catheter pre-placed in right forearm Catheters are pre-connected to a blood reservoir bag Complete blood draws, heparinization, and fluid infusion while connected or disconnected from the torso.
